In its review of the potential legal use of psilocybin, the Oregon Psilocybin Evidence Review Board found evidence that psilocybin is a promising treatment for depression and anxiety, and recommended that the state develop a treatment framework. High-quality phase 1 and 2 clinical trials suggest that psilocybin is effective in reducing depression and anxiety, including in life-threatening conditions.
